Jacksonville, Florida – October 9, 2017 – Premier Water & Energy Technology, Inc. (Premier Water), Jacksonville, FL, recently partnered with the non-profit organization charity: water.
With a charitable donation combined with a long-term commitment to support the mission of charity: water, Premier Water continues its commitment to social responsibility and sustainability.
charity: water’s mission is “to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in need around the world, improving health, education, and opportunity – especially for women and children”. Tom Brandvold, President of Premier Water, says, “By donating to the cause, we are ensuring that families will gain access to clean water for the first time.”
Premier Water has now partnered with charity: water to place a third well. The most recent well was dug in Bangladesh. It will provide clean and safe drinking water for 235 students and teachers at the Maheshwaripur Anjd Kantaram Memorial United Academy. The previous wells were dug in Ethiopia, at the Meshil Elementary School and the May Berbere community in December 2014 and March 2015. These two wells combined serve 920 people.
“charity: water also provides training in handwashing, personal hygiene, and disease prevention. This helps drive down waterborne illness by 15%. The kids are healthier, and more kids show up for school each day, too,” said Scott Harrison, Founder, charity: water.
