15 Dec charity: water – Ethiopia, Project 1
Premier has completed our first project with charity: water. charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Our first donation funded a hand-dug well for the 250 people of the May Berbere community in Ethiopia. Scott Harrison, CEO of charity: water, has visited the countries that are now benefiting from his efforts. In our completion letter, he told us about some of the people he met in Ethiopia. “An Ethiopian woman weeping with joy as she points towards the heavens and declares, ‘The water, it’s fallen from the sky…’. A Ugandan woman named Helen, who serves on her village’s water committee and now has enough water to bathe herself – she tells us, ‘Now, I am beautiful.’”
Premier Water is looking forward to many more projects with charity: water that will help the lives of people around the world. Every person deserves to have access to clean and safe drinking water, and we are happy to be a part of the solution.
